White Crappie

Aaron the Average Fisherman today caught this slab at my Father-In-Laws pond. This is a White Crappie and weighed around 4 lbs. Very healthy fish and swam back into the water. There are a lot of these fish in this pond.

Boat Ramp Blues

This morning my neighbor called around 6:30 am, his wife said their truck was under water. They bought a pontoon boat about a week ago, this was the second time they had used the boat. All this all happened at our local lake Glenn Springs, in Tennessee. When he backed the boat into the water, he put the back wheels of the truck into the water, then he put the truck into park and was going to let his wife pull the truck out, as almost all of us do. Well what he didn't know was the boat ramp has a huge drop off at the end of the ramp under water. This lake has a lot of moss and this ramp is slick concrete "this was poor design for a ramp" so when he put the truck into park, the trailer pulled the truck into the water. He couldn't do anything and watched his 2007 Ford F150 slipping into the lake while it was running, which soon stopped and will never run again.

This is a total loss, at least his boat floated away, although his truck was was totalled.
