Today, Aaron the average fisherman and myself went out onto our favorite lake. We spent the day before going over the boat. Since it was the first fishing trip this year, we wanted to ensure that everything was ready. The boat was ready, we were ready, but the weather wasn't so ready. We decided the day before that we wouldn't go out because it was so windy. The wind was gusting over 30 mph. The weather man said that it would be slight breeze so we waited till the next day.
When we got to the lake there were white caps on the lake, once we got onto the lake there was two foot swells out in the largest part of the lake. We powered though that, and went into a cove were we could get out of the wind. Although it wasn't as bad, we still couldn't get out of the wind.
About the lake... even with the wind, the water is very clear. Hopefully one day this week we can get back on the water and we will have better luck.
