Fishing the Arkansas River

During our fishing trip to Oklahoma and Aaron the Average Fisherman and I made a stop to fish the Arkansas River. We put in at the Port of Muskogee this will be the host of the FLW Walmart Bass Fishing League on June 6th 2009. We thought that we would get to know this river and do a little pre tournament fishing. This is the point where three rivers meet. There is plenty of water and you can get lost. Although we noticed that its not a deep river. The average depth is about 8 ft and you have to keep an eye out when running up river. It wasn't soon till we found a small cove. There i caught a 4 lbs bass. I was using a Stacy King pumkin seed jig.
